R.J Meyer - Master Taxidermist
R.J began taxidermy as a young boy. At the age of twelve he bought the "J.W. Elwood North American School of Taxidermy lessons", a mail order course he found offered in the back of a "Boy's Life" scouting magazine. Over the years he expanded his knowledge by attending seminars, as well as competing at State, National, International and World Taxidermy Competitions. Through the techniques he learned at these competitions, time spent at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago and intensive one on one training with some of the world's top wildlife artists, R.J. has achieved Master Taxidermist status. An avid hunter and outdoorsman R.J. has traveled halfway around the world in pursuit of big game. He understands that "trophies" are not always based on the size of the animal but rather on the memories acquainted with the hunt. Be it your child's first bluegill from the local pond or a record book animal from some far off country, R.J. is committed to capturing that memory for you.
